On March 25, Nathalie Reims and her husband were victims of a burglary at their home in Paris. Three men allegedly stole more than 300,000 euros in jewelry before they were arrested by police. According to our colleagues from Parisian, the thugs were sentenced to prison on Monday, March 28th. Thus, Juanito Chainay, known as Tito and his two acolytes, was arraigned in Paris and found guilty of false quality theft. It was Tito who received the harshest sentence: three years in prison.
The Parisian then reveals the underside of this burglary. “The March 25 affair in the Madeleine district of Paris is a classic of its kind”it says in the article. One of the people pretended to be a fake plumber, came to shut off the water in the home of Nathalie Reims and her husbandthe front door is ajar “for an accomplice to steal a few small items”. A few minutes later, fake police went to the writer’s house to check that the scammer did not commit a burglary. “A trick that allows you to open the chests and grab the contents”.
A burglary of “whim”?
According to the three people, the burglary at Nathalie Rheims would have been ordered by “a mysterious command [qui] would have sent them a piece of paper on which was written the author’s identity and her address. During his sentencing, Tito revealed that he had to commit a burglary “simple” but notes that there were people in the apartment, he would have fallen back on this theft of false quality. This is not the first time that this famous Tito will be presented to a judge: “already under a binding order for similar facts in connection with a case still under investigation”, he claimed to have committed this burglary “a headache”.
